Hair quality & materials
Understand hair grades, cuticle alignment and the finish your customers need.
What is the difference between virgin and Remy hair extensions?
Virgin describes human hair that has not been chemically colored or processed before selection. Remy describes hair with cuticles aligned in the same direction. These terms describe different characteristics: virgin hair can also be Remy, and Remy hair may be colored or processed.
DR Hair Extension offers premium virgin-hair and Remy options for professional buyers. Colored extensions made from virgin starting material have undergone color processing. Compare the specific hair grade, shade, end fullness and sample performance when choosing a collection.
Are your hair extensions made from 100% human hair?
Yes. DR Hair Extension supplies 100% human hair extensions without synthetic fiber blends. Hair grade, color processing and construction vary by product, so confirm these details when selecting samples for your salon or brand.
What is the difference between single drawn and double drawn hair?
Single drawn hair contains a wider mix of strand lengths, giving the ends a naturally tapered appearance. Double drawn hair has a higher proportion of longer strands for fuller, more consistent ends. Ask us to confirm the end fullness and sample specification for your chosen product; the terms alone do not define an exact percentage.
How long do human hair extensions last?
With appropriate care, premium virgin-hair options may last around 12–24 months, while Remy options may last around 6–12 months. These are indicative ranges, not a guaranteed lifespan. Shade, processing, installation, heat styling and daily care all affect performance.
Heavily lightened hair generally needs more careful maintenance. The usable life of the hair is different from the time between salon maintenance appointments, which depends on the attachment system.
Can your human hair extensions be dyed or bleached?
Some premium hair options are suitable for professional coloring, but suitability depends on the starting shade, hair grade, prior processing and desired result. Always perform a strand test and have an experienced colorist assess the hair first.
For #613 or platinum shades, ordering the required color is preferable to assuming an existing extension can be safely lightened to it. Contact us about the exact product before carrying out a chemical treatment.
Are your hair extensions chemically processed?
Processing depends on the selected hair grade, shade and texture. Colored extensions undergo color processing, and some textures require additional styling processes. A finished blonde or custom-colored extension should not be understood as completely unprocessed simply because it was made from virgin starting material. Ask for the processing details of the specific sample you are evaluating.
Extension types & application
Compare professional weft, tape, tip, ring and ready-to-wear systems.
What types of hair extensions do you supply?
Our current collection includes Genius Weft, Flat Weft, Volume Weft, Machine Weft, Butterfly Weft, Tape-in Hair, Invisible Tape Hair, Tape Weft, Keratin Tip Hair, Nano Ring Hair, Clip-in Hair, PU Clip-in Hair and Feather Hair. Product specifications, colors and packaging can be discussed for wholesale and private-label orders.
What are Genius Weft hair extensions?
Genius Weft is a thin, flexible human hair weft designed to lie flat in professional beaded or sew-in installations. Its discreet seam suits collections focused on a lightweight feel and natural-looking results. DR Hair Extension offers different lengths, colors and weft weights; use the product specification and sample to confirm your preferred construction.
What is the difference between Genius Weft and Volume Weft?
Genius Weft prioritizes a thin, flexible seam and discreet installation. Volume Weft prioritizes higher density and fuller coverage. Compare the weight, width and seam profile together: a heavier weft does not necessarily have the same width or construction as a lighter one. Choose the format around the client's hair density and desired result, then confirm the exact sample specifications.
What are Butterfly Weft hair extensions?
Our Butterfly Weft is fixed with micro rings or beads for professional salon installation. The standard pack contains 100g of human hair across 2 pieces, each 40cm wide, averaging 50g per piece. Ready stock is available in 22 inches and approximately 40 colors; other specifications can be discussed as custom orders. Request installation, removal and reapplication guidance for the selected attachment.
What is the difference between regular and invisible tape-in extensions?
Regular tape-ins use a conventional adhesive tab for professional sandwich-style installation. Invisible tape-ins use a more discreet attachment area designed to blend near the roots. Both require suitable placement, compatible adhesive and regular salon maintenance. Compare the top construction, piece weight and sample appearance when selecting a tape-in range.
How many tape-in pieces are included in 100g?
Our standard regular Tape-in Hair pack contains 100g of hair and 40 individual tape tabs, averaging 2.5g per tab. These 40 tabs form 20 sandwich pairs when two tabs are paired for installation. The standard tape size is 4 × 0.8cm. Other pack weights, piece counts and tape dimensions can be customized; confirm whether your quote refers to individual tabs, sandwich pairs or packs.
What are Nano Ring hair extensions?
Nano Ring extensions are individual strands fitted with small nano rings, without heat or adhesive glue. Our current range includes approximately 0.5g, 0.8g and 1g strand weights. An experienced stylist should select the strand weight, ring and placement for the client's hair, then arrange maintenance for the attachment system.
What is the difference between K-tip, flat tip, U-tip and I-tip extensions?
K-tip refers to keratin-bonded extensions used for professional fusion applications. Flat tip and U-tip describe bond shapes commonly used with heat fusion. I-tip has a narrow, stick-shaped tip and is commonly installed with micro rings. Names can vary between ranges, so confirm the tip shape, bond material, strand weight and intended installation method when ordering.
Our standard K-tip pack contains 100 strands at 1g each, totaling 100g. Custom strand weights, strand counts and pack weights can be agreed. K-tip stock includes 40+ colors in 18, 20 and 22 inches; confirm availability for each shade and length. These K-tip specifications do not automatically apply to other tip shapes.
Colors, lengths & textures
Build a consistent assortment with physical color references and clear specifications.
What hair extension colors are available?
Our color options include natural black, browns, ash and golden blondes, platinum and #613 shades, highlights, piano colors, rooted colors, ombre and balayage. Availability depends on the product and hair grade. Use the relevant physical color ring to select your collection, and confirm custom shades before production.
Can you make custom hair extension colors?
Yes. DR Hair Extension supports custom solid shades, rooted colors, highlights, piano colors, ombre and balayage for qualified wholesale orders. Select from our color rings or send a physical reference sample for evaluation. The minimum order quantity and lead time depend on the extension method and color complexity.
Why can colors look different in photographs or on color rings?
Lighting, camera settings, screens, texture and production batches can change how a shade appears. Different color ring collections may also use different standards even when shade numbers match. Wavy or curly hair may appear darker than straight hair. Select from the same ring collection and approve a physical shade reference for color-sensitive orders.
What lengths of human hair extensions do you offer?
Common wholesale selections include 18, 20 and 22 inches. The current catalog spans approximately 14–30 inches across different methods, with a separate range for each product. Longer lengths, including 32 inches, can be discussed as custom requests and are subject to availability. Confirm the length together with hair grade, shade, texture and weight.
Can you supply curly or wavy hair extensions?
Yes. Straight, body wave, natural wave and curly directions can be discussed for custom orders. Availability depends on the product, hair grade and color. Tight curls combined with heavily lightened shades need particular consideration, so send your desired curl pattern and shade for evaluation before confirming an order.

Can I order samples before placing a bulk order?

Do you supply wholesale hair extensions to small businesses?
Yes. We work with professional salons, emerging brands and established wholesale businesses. Selected products offer low-MOQ starting options so you can test the range before expanding. Start with a focused selection of methods, shades and lengths, then confirm the quantities and customization needed for each item.
How can I get a wholesale hair extension price list or quote?
Contact DR Hair Extension with your product requirements. Pricing depends on hair grade, extension method, length, color, texture, quantity and branding. Include the following details so we can prepare a relevant quote:
- Extension method and preferred hair grade
- Length, shade reference, texture and pack or strand weight
- Quantity per color and length
- Logo, label or packaging requirements
- Delivery destination and required timing
Do you offer professional hair extension color rings?
Yes. Color rings can be purchased separately to help salons and brands choose shades before ordering hair. Different ranges may use different ring collections, so tell us which extension method and hair grade you are considering. Contact us for the current ring options and prices.
Production & quality control
Understand production checks, final sampling and support if a problem arises after delivery.
What hair extension checks do you perform before shipment?
Quality checks are carried out at each stage of production. The final pre-shipment inspection is carried out by sampling. If sampling identifies a nonconformity, the affected shipment is fully re-inspected.
Key checks in the final sampling inspection include the items below. Confirm the agreed specification and shade reference before ordering. These checks are separate from laboratory testing or sample-specific compliance documentation.
- Hair weight: Sampled hair is weighed against the agreed pack or order specification.
- Measured length: The length of sampled hair is measured against the selected specification.
- Color under inspection lighting: Sampled hair color is checked under dedicated inspection lighting.
- Shedding check: Sampled hair is checked for shedding before dispatch.
- Smoothness check: The smoothness of sampled hair is checked before dispatch.
What should I do if I find a problem with the hair after delivery?
Please contact our team promptly if you notice a problem after receiving your hair. Send photos and videos showing the issue, together with a clear explanation, so we can review it.
If we confirm that the issue is our responsibility, we can arrange a return or exchange. Contact our team to agree the next steps.
Why can blonde hair extensions cost more than darker shades?
Light shades such as #60, #613 and platinum can require more careful raw hair selection and more complex color processing. This affects production work and the balance between shade, softness and durability. The price also depends on hair grade, length, extension method and order quantity.
Production times & shipping
Plan production and transit separately, with timing confirmed for your order.
How long does custom hair extension production take?
Custom Genius Weft, regular Tape-in Hair, Butterfly Weft and K-tip Hair orders normally dispatch in 5–10 working days. Confirm the schedule for your specification and quantity before ordering. Complex colors, special constructions, larger quantities or custom packaging may need a separate schedule. Other products are quoted according to their specifications. Confirmed in-stock orders for these four collections can dispatch the same day; delivery time is calculated separately after dispatch.
Do you ship wholesale hair extensions internationally?
Yes. We supply professional buyers internationally, including the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and European markets. Shipping options and costs depend on destination, parcel weight and courier service. Share your delivery address or destination when requesting a quote so we can confirm the available options.
How long does international shipping take?
For Genius Weft, regular Tape-in Hair, Butterfly Weft and K-tip Hair, estimated delivery is around 2–4 working days after dispatch. This is separate from custom-order production and dispatch time, and is not a guaranteed arrival date. Destination, courier service and customs clearance can affect transit. Confirm the available shipping service and estimated timing for your selection, including any other products, before ordering.
Private label & OEM
Turn product specifications and branded packaging into a focused collection.
Do you offer private-label hair extensions?
Yes. DR Hair Extension supports collections sold under your own brand. Options include branded labels, boxes, pouches and inserts, together with custom colors, lengths, textures and product specifications. Hair and packaging requirements should be confirmed together, as their minimum quantities and lead times can differ.
Can you supply hair extensions to my own specifications?
Yes. Depending on the product, OEM requests can cover hair grade, length, color, texture, weight, weft dimensions, tip size, attachment type and packaging. Send a specification sheet, reference photographs or a physical sample for evaluation. We confirm feasibility, MOQ and lead time before production.
Can you help me start my own hair extension brand?
Yes. We support product selection, paid sample evaluation, custom colors, private-label packaging and ongoing supply. Start with a focused assortment suited to your customers, installation methods and budget. Review the hair and packaging samples before launching, then expand the collection based on your own customer feedback and sales.
Hair care, durability & reuse
Help clients care for the hair and maintain the attachment system correctly.
How should I care for human hair extensions?
Use gentle washing products, condition the lengths and brush carefully from the ends upward while supporting the attachment area. Limit excessive heat and further chemical processing. Keep oils and conditioners away from tape or keratin attachment points, and follow the maintenance instructions for the selected system. Professional installations should have a salon maintenance plan.
Why can human hair extensions become dry or tangled?
Extensions do not receive the same continuous supply of scalp oils as growing hair. Friction, insufficient conditioning, excessive heat, chemical treatments and unsuitable care can contribute to dryness or tangling. Gentle brushing and regular conditioning can help. If problems persist, review the hair condition, installation and care routine with your stylist, and share the order details and photographs with our team.
Can human hair extensions be reused?
Many systems can be reused while the hair remains in good condition and the attachment supports reinstallation. Tape-ins need cleaning and compatible replacement tape; wefts and ring systems need appropriate professional refitting. Keratin systems may require new bonds. The number of reapplications depends on hair condition, care and the installation method rather than a fixed reuse count.
